UConn Hillel

The mission of the grantee 2023-2024: To offer Jewish students a connection to their Jewish roots and to literally and figuratively “meet students where they are” on their Jewish journey. Storrs, CT.

The purpose of the grant funding will allow UConn Hillel FYSH (First Year Students of Hillel) an early move-in and retreat programs will allow for more student engagement which is especially critical as students today struggle with mental health concerns and loneliness. FYSH welcomes students at any year in their college career that are looking to make a connection to their Jewish community.   Engagement Interns are the key to reaching students who typically would not walk through Hillel's front door.  They meet with the students and share all the benefits of Hillel and build relationships to encourage students to engage with Hillel and the greater Jewish Community.

"UCONN Hillel serves Jewish undergraduate and graduate students, Hillel is the Center for Jewish life at the University of Connecticut. They strive to serve students at all 5 UConn campuses."
